“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36

At Freedom Point Church, we are all about helping as many people as possible connect to the ultimate source of freedom: Jesus. Our hope and prayer is that Freedom Point will be a family of folks from every walk of life who journey together in order to experience the life to the full that only Jesus can provide. Whoever you are, whatever you have done, wherever you are in life, come join us, as together, we learn to live free.

Core Beliefs

For us, the Bible is the center of everything that we believe and do! We look to God’s word to direct us through his Scriptures and Spirit, and these are some of the things we believe God’s Word teaches us:

The first and greatest commandment is to “’love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-38)

There is one true God who reveals himself to the world as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, commonly referred to today as the doctrine of the Trinity (Matthew 28:19).

Jesus, the Son of God, is our one and only Lord and Savior, he was crucified as a sacrifice for our sins and rose from the dead after three days (John 14:6, Acts 2:22-24).

The Bible is the one written message of God and is inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21).

Salvation is about having a true relationship with God, and the Bible calls everyone to believe in God and Jesus, commit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and to repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of our sins and to receive the Holy Spirit (John 3:16, John 14:23, Matthew 7:21-23, Acts 2:36-41).

We believe that our church family is made up of disciples who strive to be devoted, not only to their Maker, but to the body life of the church.  This includes making wholehearted efforts, for example, to attend meetings of the body, and pursuing joyful, watchful, challenging, and encouraging “one another” relationships in which we spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Acts 2:42, Romans 12:10, Hebrews 3:12-13; 10:24-25).
